Banana and strawberry is one of those perfect flavor combinations, like peanut butter and chocolate. Why not use it in some delicious frozen fruit smoothies? Let me show you how to make strawberry banana smoothies that will be the talk of the breakfast table. All you need is some frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, a little vanilla yogurt and a splash of milk. Let’s get started…
Strawberry Banana Smoothies
- 2 bananas (peeled, sliced and frozen)
- 12 strawberries (frozen)
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 to 2 cups of low fat milk
Get out your larger blender and add the frozen fruit and yogurt to it. Add some of the milk and start to blend. I like to use the pulse option on my blender for this. Continue to add more milk until you get to the consistency you like. Less milk will result in a thicker fruit smoothie, more milk will make it thinner and more drinkable.
This recipe makes for small strawberry banana smoothies packed full of vitamins, calcium and protein. What a great start to a summer morning.
