I like blackberries a lot with their tart flavor. They are perfect in this blackberry smoothie with milk. Just three ingredients make this a very simple smoothie recipe. The banana gives it just enough sweetness and freezing it first gives the finished drink that frozen smoothie consistency.
Use either low or non-fat milk in this smoothie unless you are making it for a child. With kids I recommend whole milk with vitamin D.
Blackberry Smoothie With Milk
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup low-fat milk
Blend everything until smooth. You can make this smoothie with either fresh or frozen blackberries. I usually use fresh when they are in season and frozen berries the rest of the year. The frozen banana gives this smoothie it’s creamy consistency.
