I love smoothies made with berries and blackberries are no exception. Whenever I can find a great deal for them (road side stands and small farmers markets are often your best bet), I stock up and freeze them. I then use them for delicious blackberry smoothies throughout the year.
Easy Blackberry Smoothie
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Ice cubes
Put all ingredients into a blender. Add the lid and blend until smooth. Serve right away. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for a few hours.
For a more figure-friendly version use skim milk and your favorite no-calorie sweetener (I like stevia).
