I admit, this one sounds a little strange, but please give it a try. You’ll be surprised how delicious it is. Avocado smoothies are a bit of a dessert and snack tradition in Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia where they are usually made with sweetened condensed milk. I lighted the recipe up a bit by using low-fat or skim milk and adding some ice to it.
Avocado Smoothie Recipe
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cup low fat or fat free milk (from powdered milk is fine)
- 1 cup of ice
- a bit of sugar or your favorite no calorie sweetener (I like stevia)
Cut the avocado in half. Remove the pit and scoop the flesh into your blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve ice cold.
